Single Malt Whisky
A single malt whisky is a whisky made at a single distillery from 100% malted barley. The term "single" refers to the single distillery, not from a single barrel, and "malt" signifies that it's made exclusively from malted barley. To be classified as Scotch, the whisky must be produced in Scotland, distilled in copper pot stills, and aged in oak casks for a minimum of three years.
